February 2017

SVE IS A NUT FREE SCHOOL

From the Principal's Office
Report cards go home on Feb 24.  The third page of the report card provides an opportunity for you and your child to reflect upon progress and set goals for next term.  We encourage you to discuss the report card with your child and discuss ways in which you can support his/her learning next term.  Goals and strategies for attaining these goals should be recorded on the third page.
When you have completed the third page of the report card, please return it to the school in the report card envelope.  The Ministry of Education requires that the third page, when signed by parents and returned to the school, be filed in each child's Ontario Student Record (OSR).
No formal parent/teacher interviews have been scheduled for these report cards.  If you wish to meet with your child's teacher to discuss the report card, please contact the school and an interview will be arranged.

School Council News
Next meeting is Monday, February 6 at 6:30 at SVE.  Please join us for the Family Fun Dance on February 10th in SVE gym - admission by donation.  There are many clothing items in the lost and found at SVE and information on Mabel's Labels was sent home last week.  This would be an easy way to mark each item of clothing and then it could be returned to the owner.
