December 2018 Newsletter

From the Principal's Office

Happy December!  We are pleased to be hosting the annual SCC turkey dinner again this year.  Many thanks to the SCC for organizing this event.  Also, we are doing a food drive - information was sent home concerning this.  Please donate if you can.  We would like to wish the students and families of SVE a safe and happy holiday season.  We hope that 2019 brings good health and happiness.

Breakfast Program

The breakfast club happens each morning at SVE and sometimes children forget their lunch so they are given food from the breakfast club.  Monetary donations are appeciated by the club at any time throughout the school year and some students have birthday parties and donate cash to the club instead of receiving gifts. Any donation will be used to buy food for the breakfast club.  Please let us know if you require a receipt for your donation and thank you for your interest in the breakfast club.  Thanks also to the many volunteers who look after the day to day operation of the club.

School Council News

Thanks for your support of our fundraising efforts throughout the school year.  The Christmas dinner is scheduled for Monday, December 10.  All students will enjoy a hot meal during school hours.  SCC will be recruiting volunteers to help with set-up, serving and clean-up.  SCC asks that you consider supporting our ongoing Mabel's Labels Fundraiser.  Who doesn't like their lost items finding their way back to you???  Check it out at mabelslabels.com and search for our school under the fundraising section.
