Message From the Principal:

Phyllis (Jack) Webstad wore a bright orange shirt with pride on her first day at a residential school in Williams Lake B.C., only to have it taken away never to be seen again. Many years later, Phyllis created 'Orange Shirt Day' which is a symbolic day representing the time of year children were taken to residential schools.
Please wear Orange on Wednesday October 3rd to honour the residential school survivors; to stand up against racism and bullying; and to come together in the spirit of reconcilliation.

Dear Wonderful SVE parents & Guardians
You may have noticed we are growing !!  Due to our increase in enrolment we are feeling the need to utilize all areas of the school to support students. We are requesting that parents wait outside of the main door for pick up so that students can use the foyer for safe line ups at the end of the day.
Thank you so much for your cooperation and understanding, we appreciate it very much!
You are awesome !
SVE Staff

School drop off routines are that all students are to walk around the outside of the building to the playground at the back once supervision begins after 8:35 am. If parents/guardians are going to walk their child to the playground please use a parking space, this will save any risk of potential fines for parking in the fire route area. The school day ends at 3:15 pm, at this time also please use the parking spaces and remember to walk around the line up of buses as this helps to keep children safe.
I look forward to meeting all the studentsnand beginning a new year of learning, creating, playing and growing with one another.fall pic.jpg
See you soon! À Bientot!
